Reem is a cultural practitioner whose sustained engagement with art and architecture in Saudi Arabia  and beyond informs her ambition to contribute to a cultural landscape where creativity is critically engaged, supported, and celebrated.

In 2025, she relocated to Riyadh to join the Visual Arts Commission, Ministry of Culture, as Director of Exhibitions. Working alongside a driven team, she contributes to the development of an evolving visual arts ecosystem through initiatives that preserve, support, and empower artistic practice in Saudi Arabia while fostering its wider regional and international presence.

Previously based in New York City, Reem earned a Master’s degree in Architecture from Columbia University, where her interests developed at the intersection of spatial practice, culture, and critical inquiry. In 2021, she joined The Brant Foundation Art Study Center as Creative Manager, contributing to exhibitions and institutional programming featuring artists including Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Julian Schnabel, among others.

Reem has also worked with local galleries collaborating with established and emerging artists and contributing to more than a dozen exhibitions. She has supported with the participation in regional and international art fairs, engaging with the circulation of Saudi artistic practices within broader contemporary art networks.

With a decade of experience across the contemporary art fields of Saudi Arabia, the Arab region, and the United States, Reem’s multidisciplinary trajectory reflects an ongoing interest in the conditions through which art is exhibited, interpreted, and situated. Moving between institutional, gallery, and independent contexts, her work considers how local practices can articulate their own histories and positions while entering into dialogue with global  art discourse. She is a member of Independent Curators International (ICI).
